2020 Annual Financial Reports PHOTO CONTEST
The Orange County Comptroller, Phil Diamond, is sponsoring a contest to feature photos taken by Orange County residents in the 2020 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, Bond Disclosure Supplement and Citizens Annual Financial Report.
ABOUT THE CONTEST
Amateur and professional photographers are invited to submit color photos that show life in Orange County and bring about a sense of hometown pride. Photos can include, but are not limited to: activities, people, nature, wildlife, and buildings.
Photos must be the photographer’s original work and must not contain any copyrighted material.
Photos must not contain text.
Photos must be presented in portrait orientation and submitted digitally in a .JPG or .TIFF format at a resolution of at least 600 dpi. File naming convention: Lastname_Firstname _titleofphoto.jpg or .tiff (example:Smith_John_ScenicPark.jpg). Unless requested at the conclusion of the contest, submission of a hard copy of the picture is not necessary.
Each photographer is limited to three photos.
Five winners will be selected by Comptroller staff. One winning piece will be featured on the cover of the County’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR), the County’s Bond Disclosure Report (BOS) and the Citizens Annual Financial Report for the Fiscal Year ended September 30, 2020, and may be featured in the Office of the Comptroller in the Orange County Administration Building. The other four will be featured each on one of the inside divider tabs of the CAFR. Divider Tabs identify the following: “Introductory Section”, “Financial Section”, “Statistical Section” and “Compliance and Internal Control Section”.
Publication of the artwork in the CAFR and BDS, will include the name of the photographer, the title of the work and a brief description of the content.
