The Comptroller is responsible for maintaining the accounting and financial records of the Board of County Commissioners as well as joint administration of the County’s $7.5 billion annual budget. The Comptroller is also responsible for preparing the County’s Annual Comprehensive Financial Report, which provides a historic record of annual results of operations for Orange County citizens and other interested parties.

The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada awarded a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to Orange County for its Annual Comprehensive Financial Report for the fiscal year ended September 30, 2022, for the 41st consecutive year.  Orange County also received the Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting for the second time with its Popular Annual Financial Report for the fiscal year ended September 30, 2021. These prestigious national awards recognize conformance with the highest standards for the preparation of state and local governmental financial reports.
