Sunshine Meetings are meetings of two or more members of the Board of County Commissioners gathering to discuss a topic that might possibly be voted on in the future. Florida’s Government-in-the-Sunshine law requires that there be a public record of that discussion. The Sunshine law requires that:
- Meetings be open to the public
- Reasonable advance notice of such meetings be given
- Minutes of the meeting must be taken.
